Talc powder is composed of hydrous magnesium silicate (3MgO·4SiO₂·H₂O), a natural layered silicate mineral. This white or off-white fine powder offers exceptional softness and unique physicochemical properties including extremely low hardness (Mohs hardness 1), excellent lubricity, chemical inertness, lipophilicity/hydrophobicity, platy structure, and superior covering power with natural sheen.
